Our New and Improved Facilities
For nearly half a century, Baker has been the pride of the Mountain View community. The original heart of our school stands one story with 20 permanent and 18 portable classrooms. The school grounds are kept clean, and any graffiti we promptly wipe out.Students are taught to respect their environment and take an important role in its upkeep. Student leadership groups help reinforce and support this expectation.
In the last few years, our school has undergone major renovation thanks to Proposition MM funds, financed by school bonds approved by voters. Our students are proud of their beautiful new library and six new classrooms.
Staff takes advantage of the new instructional support space and upgraded electrical system allowing expansion of technology. We also received important infrastructure upgrades including ventilation, repaired floors and roofing, new carpeting and improved walkways modified to accommodate the disabled. We want to offer our students the most technologically advanced and pleasant school climate in the district.
